Professor Jim Bright
Professor Career Development, Australian Catholic University
Jim Bright has an international reputation as a career development professional based on his award winning innovative research, best-selling career development books and his entertaining and informative speaking and training.
Jim has over 30 years of experience in psychology and career development. He has a BA(Hons) and a PhD in Psychology. Jim has published over 500 books, chapters, journal and newspaper articles, tests and reports. He is a Fellow of both the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Career Development Association of Australia and is a Past National Chairperson of the APS College of Organisational Psychologists. He holds Australia's first specifically-named professorial appointment in career development at ACU. He is also Director of Evidence & Impact at BECOME, an innovative company reimagining careers education and guidance in schools around the world.
Jim appears regularly on radio and television with appearances on Channel 10 Studio 10, Channel 9 Today show, Channel 7 Sunrise and news, Sky Business Your Career, ABC702, Triple J, and a range of other stations around the country.
Jim writes an Opinion column every week for the Sydney Morning Herald and the Melbourne Age newspapers.
