Reimagining Careers Education | Session 12
Excellent School Careers Programmes - even in a pandemic!
REIMAGINING CAREERS EDUCATION | SESSION 12
We're reimagining how we do pretty much everything right now - careers education included. This series of virtual meet ups is for anyone involved with student futures particularly in a K-12 setting.
The purpose is to bring together a collective of folk who are passionate about making careers education as inspiring and powerful as it should be. Each week we have a different discussion focus and invite guest speakers to share their insights and ideas.
In this session we're joined by Tristram Hooley, Professor of Education at the University of Derby and author of The Careers Leader Handbook to chat about delivering excellent careers programmes (even in a pandemic).
Tristram is a researcher and writer specialising in career and career guidance. He is variously the Professor of Education at the University of Derby, Professor II at the Inland Norway University of Applied Science and Chief Research Officer for the Institute of Student Employers. His research often focuses on career education and guidance in schools, the transition point to the labour market and the role of new technologies, but he is interested in a wide range of career related issues. He has written eight books and numerous articles and reports. If you are interested in finding out more about him and his work visit his blog at https://adventuresincareerdevelopment.wordpress.com/.
