How do I set up student and teacher accounts in BECOME?

How to prepare class roster spreadsheet

To set up student accounts you'll create a simple spreadsheet containing student info and then upload it to us.

We need your class roster spreadsheet in a particular format.  PLEASE use our template. Grab the template at the download button here.

If the format is not as shown below it may delay the creation of your student accounts.

Numbers (Apple spreadsheet) is preferred but Excel is fine to use and is the format of the template we provide above. Numbers will open the template with no problems.

The instructions for building the class roster spreadsheet are found on the first page of the template. You'll use the TEAM tab to identify staff needing accounts and linking them to the classes they are responsible for.  

Each class spreadsheet needs 5 columns with the column headers as shown. Please ensure there are NO extra columns in your spreadsheet, only these five in this order:

  1. Full Name
  2. Preferred Name (required: please provide first name or name used in class)
  3. Email address
  4. Gender
  5. Date of Birth

The IT staff at your school should be able to provide this data for you. Avoid manually building the spreadsheet, if at all possible, since this is error prone and more work for us both.

Why does BECOME ask for student date of birth?
